Our company
Passion and constant dedication are the fundamental impulses through which we have given life to our company and that have always pushed us to remain attentive to respecting our land. Our Rive (vineyards) cover 5 hectares in the Valdobbiadene area and constant research into quality is essential for us in maintaining a high level wine that is as genuine as it is sophisticated, that excites its producers as much as it excites its drinkers.
The call of the land
Gino and his origins
It was the 1960s when Grandpa Gino couldn’t resist the call of his roots and returned to his beloved land after years working in Switzerland.
Compelled by his passion and great tenacity, sacrifice and dedication, he increased the size of the property and dedicated himself totally to the hard work of cultivating the vineyards. The Rive is in San Pietro di Barbozza at not even one kilometre from home, and day by day, Gino learned his trade and became, for all intents and purposes, a winemaker. Thanks to his strong personality and passion for his vineyards, he was able to pass down his experience and know-how to his son, Celestino.
At the Rive today
The strength of a family
It was the 1990s when Celestino and Daniela opened Rive del Bacio. The connection with the territory where we live is essential and it is the reason why we decided to take the name “Bacio”, name of the famous vineyard in San Pietro di Barbozza where our story began. Continuing the passage from one generation to the next, Nadia, one of their four daughters joined the company in 2021. Driven by the daily example of her family, she decided to completely change her career by also becoming a “heroic” winemaker. Present for generations in this hill territory which is highly suited to wine growing, the decision was made to focus on quality at the expense of quantity, with the certainty of giving the connoisseur and the consumer a product that is exemplary in all respects.
Our secret
A unique territory
These rugged and unique hills were proclaimed a “World Heritage Site” in 2019. It’s here that Prosecco has its historic origins and where Glera, the main grape variety of the territory, is cultivated. Valdobbiadene DOCG Prosecco Superiore was born here thanks to the richness of the soil, to the particular micro-climate, to the great know-how of the people who work there and that have passed down this ancient art of heavy manual labour. A perfect marriage between man and nature, between tradition and innovation and that confers pleasing emotions with every sip.
